Chair Silhouette
This chair is inspired by the image of a woman sitting with her legs crossed: a pose that is both elegant and instinctively human.
The design is part of a larger design story: this chair communicates with the legs of the Manhattan Console.
Crafted in aluminum, the design explores the tension between balance and imbalance, strength and softness. It is a study in controlled imperfection: a deliberate search for asymmetry, for the moment just before something tips over, but doesn’t.
A subtle equilibrium is maintained, echoing the grace found in vulnerability, and the beauty that lies in the almost-falling.
